Hello Troop 7,
Hello Troop 7!
What an exciting and active spring!
Many congratulations and thanks are in order–First, I want to thank Justin for his year of being our SPL. He did a fantastic job. Second, I want to congratulate Will for being elected our new SPL. It was a good race between two fine candidates. And last, I want to congratulate our three nominees, Adam, Benjamin, and Brian, for getting elected into the Order of the Arrow. I will also be nominating an adult from our troop to join them.
Our next trip is Silversides on Friday, April 17th. It looks like it will be well attended. We will be sleeping on the Silversides Submarine, followed by jumping at Sky Zone on Saturday. What an interesting combination–sleeping underwater, then soaring high. Many Webelos from a local pack will be joining us. This is a great opportunity to connect with this pack.
May’s trip will be over Memorial Day Weekend, which is our much- anticipated biking and campout.
Looking forward to an exciting spring!
Mr. Chettleburgh
Hello scouts,
We are helping Pittsfield Township with their annual Easter Egg Hunt. We will be hiding the eggs across 15 acres of land. It is happening at Lillie Park, from 10am to 1pm on April 4th.

Hello Troop 7,
As requested by our PLC on Monday, our ski trip has been rescheduled for Friday, March 13th to Sunday, March 15th. This gives us a bit more time for planning, and will allow our older leadership to join us.
At our Monday meeting, I will be giving back checks, or applying them to this ski trip if you are going again. Please plan on bringing your permission slip and payment on Monday, March 2nd.

Hello Troop 7,
Here’s something warmer to think about: Boy Scout Resident Camp. We are booked for Gerber Scout Reservation the week of June 21-27. We have 20 spots reserved for boys.
Gerber offers quite a few Eagle-required badges, so this may give older scouts a chance to finish up several of those. Scouts can choose up to 5 merit badges to work on. They also have the Eagle Quest program where younger scouts can spend the morning completing most of the requirements for tenderfoot, second class, and first class. We will have merit badge signups at one of the March meetings.
Cost will be $300. (Scholarships are available, see the scoutmaster). We need to pay a $150 deposit per scout by March 2. Second payment will be due end of April.
We need at least 5 adults to attend resident camp. Troop 7 pays your cost. We’ve had two parents split the week if you can’t take a whole week off work. I know some dads who have been going for several years might like a year off, so if there’s a way you can help out, please let me know. They have several adult training programs available. Last year several dads were able to get some bike riding in while at camp and enjoyed COPE for adults.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Ms. Klinich and Scoutmaster
